Shooting since the age of 16, Rene Gomez embodies the true spirit of a photographer driven by ambition and art. With no end goal in sight, except to pursue his passion for photography, Gomez terminated his residency at Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Florida to seek his true intention. In order to solidify his dream, Gomez moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1999 to work under the apprenticeship of Master Printer and Photographer, Antolin Sanz. He continued to hone his skills with the renowned OTMFC lighting and grip family. His experience with OTMFC helped open a slew of opportunities in the commercial world of Photography. Gomez has worked under celebrated photographers such as Jeff Olson, James White, Christian Lantry, Jonathan Mannion, and Clay Patrick McBride. With an affinity to surfing, skateboarding and music, Gomez recognizes the privilege to be published in such publications as Sports Illustrated, Surfing Life Japan, Playboy, Maxim, Guitar World, Revolver, and Premier Guitar. Gomez’s photography campaigns include top tier companies MLB, Food Network, Champion, Seeso Supra, Krew, Braven Sport, Cyber Wetsuits, and Orisue. Born and raised in Miami, Fl., this first generation Cuban American now resides in Los Angeles, CA.
